"Non-system disk or disk error" Message






• If you get this message when you boot up your computer, it usually means there is a CD,

DVD, USB flash drive, or floppy disk in your computer, which is interfering with your

computer's booting process. Remove the disk from the drive, then restart the computer.

PC Won't Boot Into Windows:

Try Safe Mode First: Restart the System. Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears. There are several Safe Mode options available. Select the option you need and then press Enter.
  • If the Windows logo appears, you will need to restart the computer and try again.
Even Safe Mode Doesn't Work use System Restore:

Enter System Restore with F8

 Restart your computer.
 Press the "F8" key repeatedly when your computer begins booting up to access the Advanced Boot Options menu. Highlight "Repair Your Computer" option using the arrow keys on the keyboard and then press "Enter."





Click to select "English" in the language menu and then click "Next." Type in the administrator password for your computer and then click "Next."
Click the "System Restore" icon in the list of recovery options.
